2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas

I absolutely loved ACOMAF and I had high hopes for ACOWAR but it sadly didn’t meet them.

 3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?

The Hearts We Sold by Emily Llyod-Jones

When I got this in the August OwlCrate, I was a bit disappointed as I thought it was going to be a cheesy romance. Boy, was I wrong! I absolutely love it! And hope to write a review of it soon.

 4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?

I pushed a lot of people to read “The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue” and I don’t know if they all read it but I definitely pushed!

Best Sequel: Monstress Vol. 2 by Marjorie M. Liu 

Best Series Ender: A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab

I actually discovered a lot of new authors!

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?

Mister Tender’s Girl by Carter Wilson 

I don’t usually read thrillers but I had read an excerpt and I was hooked!

 8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson 

This book was fantastic and I binged it so hard! I wish there was more!

 9. Book You Read In 2017 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas

Since TOG7 is coming out next year, my best friend and I are planning on rereading the complete series as pre-gaming for our suffering.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2017?

There were so many AMAZINGLY beautiful covers this year that it was hard to pick just one but Charlie Bowater’s cover for An Enchantment of Ravens was just the best


11. Most memorable character of 2017?

Fallon Bane from The Black Witch

This b*tch is one of the worst characters that I have ever read about. Think Umbridge but a rich, spoiled brat.

 12. Most beautifully written book read in 2017?

So many choices but I would have to go with An Enchantment of Ravens.

13. Most Thought-Provoking/ Life-Changing Book of 2017?

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesa Zappia

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

I absolutely adore Between Shades of Gray and I don’t know why this wasn’t an insta read for me!

18. OTP OF THE YEAR (you will go down with this ship!)

There were a lot of adorable pairings this year but Blue and Hamal from Taproot take the cake, err the ship.

Eva and Charlotte from Zenn Diagram 

I loved how real there friendship was!

21. Best Book You Read In 2017 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure:

Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh

I wasn’t really interested in this book but I had the chance to get an e-arc of an went “why not!” And it was fantastic! Highly recommend. Review to come.

24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?

The Black Witch by Laurie Forest 

This book could have been about 200 pages (and a couple of hours) shorter if there wasn’t so much imagery but it definitely helped me envision the world and the characters.

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?

Geekerella by Ashley Poston 

This book was so much fun to read and so many fangirl feels!

The End That We Start From by Megan Hunter 

This book was weird but peaceful and you had to read the whole thing to get the point. The characteristic that made it the most unique was the writing. It reminded me of Ellen Hopkins.

1. New favorite book blog you discovered in 2017?

I discovered so many amazing blogs that year that I probably couldn’t pick just one.

2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2017?

Is it bad that I don’t really have one?

3. Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog?

My TTT post about Characters Who Would Make Great Leaders because it was such an interesting post to write.

4. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?

I when to the NYC Teen Author Festival in March where I got to meet Maggie Stiefvater, Ibi Zoboi, Lance Rubin and so many other authors! I also won a book which was fun!

5. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2017?

Starting my blog! I had wanted to do this for a couple of years and one day I just did it and it has been weird and exciting! I definitely wish that I had done so more research but it was an interesting experience to just jump in and figure my way as I went.

6. Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?

Balancing a blog, bookstagram, reading and school. It was a lot but it was all about time management.

10.  Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?

I had set a reading goal of 52 books for this year and I did achieve that! Also starting a blog and everything else that I did was a nice cherry one top!

    1. Thank you for the comment! I do agree with you. I think having OwlCrate put it in their May box definitely increased it’s audience range but overall it hasn’t reach it’s full audience potential.
