Top Ten Tuesday: Books that Were Totally Worth the Hype

Hello all! It is the last day of July! I am not ready for summer to be over! I kind of don’t want to go back to school (but I am mean truly who does?!) This week is not going to be a rather long post as it is about Hyped books that I enjoyed and were totally worth the hype. I am exhausted so I am not going into detailed descriptions about why I liked the book as I sort of feel that I will be saying the same thing over and over again! So just know that I recommend all of these books and I am super sorry if you have seen these books a million times already! Just know that it comes highly recommended!

Furyborn by Clarie Legrand

I actually read this book completely based on the hype that was around it even though I had no interest in it to begin with.

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

So I am not sure if this counts as it is not yet out (October 2!!!) but I am including it anyway because it was that good!

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

I bought this book because it was so popular (not at all because the book is gorgeous, no not at all).

The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton

Another book that I read completely because it was so popular!

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

This is one of the first books that I read solely because it was so popular and it is one of my all-time favorite series!

Honorable Mentions: The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo,  Harry Potter by JK Rowling, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Warcross by Marie Lu, The Infernal Devices by Cassie Clare

To explain Narnia and HP, these books are really hyped but they are more of the mandatory childhood reading books whereas the generation that read Percy Jackson when they were in middle school is college-aged and hasn’t really had the chance to pass it on to the next generation.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme by The Broke and The Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
