Top Ten Tuesday: Anticipated Releases for January to July 2019

With a new year comes new releases! I am definitely excited for all of these reads but the real question is when I am going to find the time to read them all! Also, I am sorry because they are basically all sequels or spin-offs.

Song of the Dead by Sarah Gleen Marsh – January 22

I read Reign of the Fallen back in 2017 and I was really surprised at how much I loved it. I am excited to see where Marsh takes the story now!

King of Scars

King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo – Jan. 29

I have been waiting for this book since I literally started my blog. You can say that I am just a little excited for it.

Last of Her Name by Jessica Khourey – Febuary 26

I don’t know why there is a resergence of Anastasia retellings but I am so here for it!

The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton – March 5

After the ending of The Belles, I need this book!

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi – March 5

Seriously, why March 5? BRB, going to get a time turner.

The Princess and The Fangirl by Ashley Poston – April 2

I loved Geekerella and I squeled when I found out that Poston was doing a sequel!

Descendants of the Crane by Joan He – April 2

Well I guess I am going to have to pick again what I am going to read first! But in all seriousness, this is one of my most anticipated reads of 2019 and I am going to loose my buttons if I have an exam anywhere near when this book comes out.

Kingsbane by Claire Legrand – May 21

I really enjoyed both of Claire’s 2018 releases and I am excited to jump back into the Empirium!

Sky Without Stars

Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell – May 26

Sorcery of Thorns

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – June 4

I loved An Enchantment of Ravens and I will be the first one to admit that! Though this is not a sequel, I am still excited to see where this new world will lead me!

*me currently with all the books*

  1. Great list! I love the cover of The Everlasting Rose. I need to read Children of Blood and Bone soon, and King of Scars made my list this week, too. 🙂

  2. There are SO SO MANY Anastasia retellings all of a sudden – and out of nowhere? I don’t get it either. I’m reading Romanov right now, and it’s the third retelling I’ve read in the last 6 months! … And of course, I will be adding The Last of Her Name to my TBR because honestly, I’m trash for Anastasia retellings……….

  3. I had no idea about Last Of Her Name. Anastasia is one of my favorite movies ever and now I really want to read this one. I already requested it at my library. I have Children of Virtue and Vengeance on a preorder but I have yet to read the first book. Hopefully I like them.
