Top Ten Tuesday: I NEED Sequels for These Books ASAP Part 2

Hello Friends! It is another Tuesday!

Is it wrong to want more? gif .gif

So you might be noticing that “Part 2” in the title and no it is not a mistake. A few months ago, I did this as a different TTT post that I went a bit rogue on. But since it is the official theme today, I figured that I would add ten more books to that list.

LadyCastle

LadyCastle by Delilah Dawson & Ashley Woods

This comic only has one volume but the story arc could go so much farther! I am honestly confused why there haven’t been more volumes because it has so many awesome elements to it and I mean who doesn’t want to read about a bunch of women kicking butt!

34895950

The Tea Dragon Society by Katie O’Neill

I LOVED THIS GRAPHIC NOVEL! I mean it is about dragons that make tea and super cool diverse characters so again what is not to love. I mainly want a sequel because I NEED A HIBISCUS TEA DRAGON! Or tell me where I can adopt one, that would work too!

Sawkill Girls

Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

*Spoilers for the ending*

Legrand does an excellent job at wrapping this book up as one should with a standalone novel but can I please have a novel where Val, Marion, and Zoe go travel the world and take down more monsters and takedown the Hand of Light. I want to know if Val and Marion stay together and read more about Grayson and Zoe. Also, how has Sawkill changed since the monster has been banished?

Summer of Salt

Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno

I don’t know what I would I want the plot to be but I would love to go back to By-The-Sea.

The Night Circus

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

Fun fact: This was supposed to be a series! Which I would have loved because I loved reading this book but I can understand why Morgenstern didn’t continue with the series as the ending isn’t conducive to a sequel with those characters but I would love to see more of The Night Circus. A modern night circus would be great!

An Enchantment of Ravens .jpg

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

Like Summer of Salt, I am not sure what I would want the plot to be about but I loved Rogerson’s writing and the characters so I want to read more about them.

outrun the wind

Outrun the Wind by Elizabeth Tammi

I don’t specifically remember their names but some of the Hunters of Artemis had interesting backstories specifically the Hunter from Sparta.

The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

But Anna, what about TGGTVAV? I LOVED IT! Percy, Monty, Felicity, Johanna, and Sim are fabulous, lovely, amazing, awesome characters (yes, I love them just a little bit) and I want more of their crazy adventures.

taproot

Taproot by Keezy Young

This ends on such a positive note but it is not super satisfying. I would love just another chapter or two and see them together and happy.

mister tender's girls

Mister Tender’s Girl by Carter Wilson

This is not a sequel per se but I wish that they would publish the comics that are featured in the novel.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme by The Broke and The Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

  1. An Enchantment of Ravens is really popular this week! I had to skip over your Sawkill Girls spoiler, but you reminded me that it was on sale over Black Friday weekend, and it’s sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read someday.

  2. I’ve only read an excerpt of Summer of Salt – I hope I’m able to get to the full book soon – and from it I could already tell By-The-Sea was an amazing setting.
And An Enchantment of Ravens! I loved those characters and world too (also I agree, Rogerson’s writing is gorgeous, which is why I can’t wait for Sorcery of Thorns), I’d love to read more. Great list!

  3. Great list! I would be 100% here for more from Felicity’s science girl gang, I was really sad to say goodbye to them at the end of TLGtPaP. I think I need to check Sawkill Girls out because I’ve seen it all over the place!
