There isn’t a cover yet so here is a gif of tulips blooming!
Release Date: February 4, 2020
Publisher: Flatiron Books
Synopsis from GoodReads:
Set in 1637 Holland at the height of the Dutch tulip mania, a flower girl in love with her mistress must decide whether or not to dupe her beloved’s father by selling him a false Semper Augustus bulb, the most valuable tulip of its time, in order to save herself and her brother.
Why I Am Excited About It:
So my general rule for doing a Waiting on Wednesday post is that it must have a cover and somewhat of a blurb. Well at least there is a blurb but either way, I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK!
I love Lee’s Montague Siblings books so much and we are now getting more Queer Historical Fiction!
I don’t know much about the Tulip Madness but it is an event that I am intrigued by. Though I am a bit bummed that the name has been changed to The Madness Blooms I because I just love the way Semper Augustus rolls off the tongue. Also, it is a real flower and it is so pretty and would make a great cover!
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme by Jill at Breaking the Spine and is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings.
