    1. They are both long and I think that it is interesting as the aspect of Eragon that killed my interest in the series was how long they are but with Maas’s books, specifically TOG, I want them to be as long as possible but I think that speaks of how well the author conveys their story.

  1. I really need to pick up the Throne of Glass series again- I’ve only read book 1 because I wanted to wait for the series to finish, but Maas just keeps on going and I don’t want to be too far in the weeds! What I love about so many of these long books is that most of them didn’t feel that long because the stories were so good and adventures too soon over!

    1. It is definitely a good idea to wait until the last book is out because the fifth book is painful!!! Yes, I can blow through them with no problem and I still want more! I am rereading them now and I still love them as much as before!

  3. I’ll be reading City of Heavenly Fire next week. I might not get around to reading Kingdom of Ash until next year… I still have two ToG books to get to first, and I don’t think I’ll be reading anything long while NaNoWriMo is going on, and then it’s pretty much 2019 already.

At first I was like Sam thinking you already got your hands on Kingdom of Ash, LOL.

      1. As a series I love TOG so much more. If I am being frank, there is too much sex in the ACOTAR series and don’t get me wrong there is a lot in TOG but it felt like every other chapter of ACOWAR was a sex scene and it defintiely dampened my enjoyment of the book not to mention the ending vexed me so much. Though oddly enough ACOMAF is my favorite Maas book; the character arcs are amazing. Also, TOG has a very emotional connection for me as it is the series that helped my best friend and I grow our friendship so it will always have a special place in my heart because of that.

      2. Okay, I must really pick up TOG soon! I get your point on the sex scenes regarding ACOWAR. They seem to be there just to be that and not to contribute to a greater meaning. My favourite book is also ACOMAF! 😀 I love your connection with your best friend and TOG that it is truly amazing. Did you do a buddy read?
